ABOUT

Loc Performance HQ

Loc Performance Products, lnc. (Loc) was founded in Taylor, Michigan in 1971 to meet the needs of an expanding domestic manufacturing industry. Loc's first home was a 5,000 square foot facility, manufacturing machined components for automotive powertrains, including providing comprehensive solutions for demanding drag race teams, both factory and private teams. Building on a solid reputation for delivering robust quality products in a timely manner, the company began a significant expansion. From 1977 to 1996, Loc grew in multiple phases - both in physical size and customer base, relocating to Plymouth, Ml and expanding its manufacturing footprint to 125,000 square feet. Loc began serving the defense industry in 1985 and quickly became the preferred supplier for tracked vehicle suspension systems.
In 1990, Loc became the first small business awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract for M-1 Abrams Final Drives. Loc has expanded its manufacturing footprint seven fold within the last five years , increasing from 240,000 square feet to over 1,750,000 square feet with three Michigan locations (Plymouth, Lansing, and Lapeer) and one in Saint Mary’s, Ohio. The Plymouth facility serves as corporate headquarters, includes Product Development engineering and provides complex, precision products for suspension, track and driveline systems.

Loc acquired Demmer Corp.'s North Lansing operation. The acquisition is the source for Loc's fabricated armor products and vehicle structures' line of business. The Lansing facility expanded Loc's capabilities to offer full manufacturing services for alloyed components and complex assemblies ranging in size from 10 pounds all the way to fully integrated vehicles in excess of 40 tons.

Loc acquired the machining operations of Lapeer lndustries lnc., an integrated defense and aerospace firm based in Lapeer, Michigan. The acquisition of the Lapeer lndustries machining operations strengthens Loc's manufacturing technology capabilities and allows the company to provide a broader range of solutions to military and commercial customers.

Loc acquired Continental’s St. Marys, Ohio facility on Dec 1, 2021. The St. Marys facility manufactures track products for agricultural, construction, and defense industries. Established in 1940, the 800,000+ square foot facility sits on 108 acres and employs approximately 450 highly skilled employees.
